Saving You Money
We love Xero. Our clients love Xero. It's a powerful tool and easy to use. But there are multiple ways of doing some tasks, and sometimes these create errors with your data, or even cause you to lose information in there. Every month, while doing GST returns or annual accounts for clients who manage their own Xero, we find errors in the way they have been using Xero. Some of these cause errors in their GST, and some of those are quite big errors (one client had been processing their GST on Imports incorrectly and we discovered over $10k of underclaimed GST).
There are lots of courses you can do to learn how to use Xero. But at Sprout we don't think we need to reinvent the wheel. Xero themselves have an amazing help library. The trouble we find with self teaching is that corners get cut, you don't know what you don't know so might be missing out on more efficient ways of using your Xero, and sometimes users mix up the order they teach themselves to learn Xero (running before they can walk).
So, we have developed a bespoke program to get you up and running. This is how it works:
We first have a chat to find out about your business, what you've been doing in Xero so far
We have a look at how you are running your Xero currently and what common mistakes you might be making
We put together a package with links to the Xero learning modules you need, along with a cheat sheet, then take you through
This package will include features you might not currently be using that we know will benefit your business
An added bonus is, being accountants who also do year end work for our clients, we know exactly the information your accountant needs from you to do your accounts, and we set up Xero so you can save everything ready for them to retrieve at year end
We provide ongoing support, so if there is something you can't quite get to work, we do a video session with you to talk you through it, record that and send it to you so you have it for future reference

This is not a course to remove the need for sound tax advise. It is a course to give you the tools to interpret the data that you are entering into your accounting system. We advise you work with your accountant to improve the quality of that data.
